Nell'anno 883 il luogo si chiamava Gorgognano e prese il nome odierno solo nel 1623, quando fu acquistato dalla famiglia Gatti; nel 1800 passò agli Strocchi e nel 1936 alla famiglia Tini. L'azienda con un'estensione di 38 ettari è compresa fra i comuni di Faenza e Brisighella (cittadina medievale , dal 2005 uno de I Borghi più Belli d'Italia) , ad una altitudine di circa 200 m s.l.m. La sua posizione panoramica permette di ammirare la Torre di Oriolo (sec. XV), il castello di Monte Poggiolo e, nelle giornate più limpide, la riviera adriatica. La coltivazione prevalente è il vigneto, frutteto (albicocchi e frutti dimenticati) e uliveto.Gli ospiti di Ca' de' Gatti trovano un'accoglienza calorosa nelle rustiche e confortevoli camere con servizi privati.
