Domaine des Jardins Anglais is a private, 170-acre country estate approached via a long drive leading to a formal courtyard. It is set within the Perigord Vert National park, with spectacular views across acres of rolling countryside and woodland. Once a 17th century hunting lodge with the later addition of an 18th century manor, it is full of historic interest. The well-maintained gardens are bordered by mature trees, shrubs and rose gardens. The accommodation is divided between the Manor and the Pavillion (hunting lodge), grouped around the formal gravelled courtyard. The Manor retains a number of distinctive features internally; including carved stone fireplaces, wood panelling and elegant high ceilings. Helpful caretakers live on site.
