Situated in a typical village in
Monferrato, a land where rural traditions are still
alive and history mixed up with legends goes back
in centuries, with the manycastles still visible as
a proof of its past, this 'country home' - recently
opened - has been completely restored following
strict criteria in terms of old material recovery
(old typical 'cotto' tiles for the floors and
'tufo' stones for the façade), without
forgetting the present exigencies of comfort that
cannot be ignored nowadays.

The four apartments available,
of different sizes and characteristics, have been
decorated with strong, warm colours to obtain an
intimate and informal atmosphere: each apartment
has its own fireplace, besides the independent
heating. The fresco painted ceilings have all been
beautifully restored, discovering more than one
layer of different frescos according to the
different ages of the house (the oldest part of it
dating back to 1600) All the apartments are big and
very comfortable, and they are therefore also
suitable for a 'longer' stay (two of them have got
two bedrooms each, so that even families or group
of friends can find a convenient
accommodation).

|
They are fully equipped and
furnished with charming and old pieces, the kitchen
can be properly used and bed and bath linen are at
disposal, as well as children equipment. Parking
available in the courtyard. The external walls have
been purposely left 'at sight', so that one can
immediately see the building's authenticity, as it
was common use in this area to alternate bricks and
'tufo' stones for the façades (this last
material coming from the old 'tufo' quarry that the
owner's ancestors were running nearby).

The house disposes also of a
common area, a charming place where the guests can
have their breakfast or can meet near the fireplace
and taste a good glass of the famous Piemonte wines
that the owners - on demand - will offer you from
the production cellars they run nearby. Here our
guest will have the possibility to taste their
breakfast, that will be served outside during the
good season. There's no restaurant service
available in the house, but the owners will be
gladto let you know the names of the most authentic
and convenient places where the local recipes are
best interpreted (just to name the most famous
dishes: agnolotti, fritto misto, bollito and bagna
caoda, not to forget the famous white truffle
which, in autumn, is also the object of many
exhibitions and feasts) without the 'formal'
atmosphere that is typical of the 'city'
restaurants.
