Die Ferienhäuser liegen in einem weitläufigen Zitronenhain, der an einen kleinen privaten Sandstrand grenzt, der einst vielleicht der Hafen des antiken Solunto war, wie man an Hand der gefundenen Ýberreste am vorgelagerten Riff "la formica" (die Ameise) vermutet. Von den Wohnungen hat man einen traumhaften Blick auf die in ca. 30 Seemeilen vorgelagerten Eolischen Inseln, auf den Hafen von Porticello, das Antike Solunto auf dem Berg "Catalfano" und das Schloss von Solanto. Das Dorf "Santa Flavia" ist ca. 1 km entfernt. Sie finden dort alle Geschäfte des täglichen Bedarfs sowie zahlreiche Unterhaltungsmöglichkeiten (Freiluftkino, Pizzerien, Restaurants, Eisdielen, Crèperien und auch Diskotheken). |

Im nahen Fischerhafen von Porticello ks˙nnen auch Yachten anlegen. In weniger als 3 km erreichen Sie die Autobahn in "Casteldaccia", von wo Sie dann alle wichtigen Ausflugsziele Siziliens bequem erreichen können: Palermo 20 km, Cefalù 50 km, Agrigento 120 km, Selinunte 120 km, Taormina 200 km, der Etna 220 km, der Naturpark der Madonien 80 km, die Nebroden 140 km, bzw. Milazzo 180 km, von wo Sie zu den Eolischen Inseln übersetzen können. In 700 Meter Entfernung befindet sich der Bahnhof (von dort 15 Minuten bis Palermo mit dem Zug) sowie ein Taxenstand; in 100 meter Entfernung hält der Autobus nach Palermo. |

Situated in a luxuriant private lemon-orchard on the small beach which was supposedly the ancient harbour of Solunto (as the wrecks on the soundings of the Scoglio di Formica in front of it suggest) the Residence has a view of the Eolie Islands (which are visible 30 miles away), the harbour of Porticello, ancient Solunto and Solanto Castle as well. The town (Santa Flavia) is less than 1 Km away and provides all kinds of shops and entertainments to cater to all tastes (an open-air cinema, pizza-bars, restaurants, sandwich and pancake bars, discos). |

Porticello's important fishing harbour close-by often houses cruising yachts. At a distance of less than 3 Kms (at Casteldaccia) the quick motorway connection makes it possible to rapidly reach the most appealing tourist resorts in Sicily: Palermo (20 Kms) Cefalù (50 Kms) Agrigento (120 Kms) Selinunte (120Kms) Taormina (200 Kms), mount Etna (220 Kms), the Madonie Natural Park (80 Kms) the Nebrods Natural Park (140 Kms), Milazzo (180 Kms) from which the Eolie Islands can be reached.
