The resort of Zubebi covers an area of 2.5 hectares, situated the hills that overlook the town of Pantelleria. The name is derived from "Zbib", a term that the Arabs used to describe a variety of grape known today as Zibibbo. The small area of Zubebi lies between the larger district of "Kuddìa Bruciata" - with its imposing black lava hill (Kuddìa) - and "San Marco" district - whose acropolis testifies to the past Phoenician civilisation. Il resort Zubebi occupa un'area di 2,5 ettari fra le colline che sovrastano il paese di Pantelleria.Il nome deriva da "Zbib" termine col quale gli antichi Arabi designavano la varietà d'uva oggi nota come zibibbo.La piccola contrada di Zubebi è compresa fra quelle più grandi di "Kuddia Bruciata" dove sorge un'imponente collina (kuddia) di pietra lavica scura e "San Marco" la cui acropoli testimonia il passaggio dell'antica civiltà fenicia.La scelta di questa contrada non è avvenuta casualmente.Il resort è destinato ad un pubblico in cerca di un oasi di relax e di riservatezza. |
