historical centre of Merida. Mérida is
situated in the Spanish region of Extremadura, a

and has hosted such illustrious guests as Queen
Isabel II and her husband Francisco de Asís
in 1879, King Alfonso XII in 1875 or King Alfonso
XIII in 1905, guests that helped to raise the

The second building, the
Palacio de los Mendoza, an ancient Medieval resting
place built on the foundations of a Roman
construction, has been home to the Hotel Emperatriz
since 1960. A sober building combining a
Renaissance façade with Gothic interiors and
a patio with porticos built in the 14th. Century
with tiles from Talavera. A work of art that has
become a luxury hotel with 76 comfortable rooms and
modern facilities. Merida preserves some of the
most outstanding Roman monuments, including a
colossal theater, an amphitheater, two aquaeductus,
and a bridge, not to forget about the Museum of
Roman Art with its invaluable
collection.

200 persone.
