At the beginning of the 13th century Majorca was
conquered by King Jaime I, overthrowing its Arab
rulers. The king divided the lands among the nobles
who had supported him. One of these territories was
the estate of Monnaber, the Arab word for "Hill of
Flowers". The Monnaber Nou hotel is a restored
Majorcan Manor farmhouse of 556 acres, and blends
its original character and heritage with modern
facilities; the 25 air-conditioned and heated
rooms, suites and apartments all have en-suite
fully-fitted bathrooms, a mini-bar and satellite
TV.

The hotel is located in
the foothills of the glorious Sierra de Tramuntana
mountain range, with woods and forest full of
holm-oaks, ancient olive trees, carobs, almond and
pine trees. The beaches of Pollença and
Alcúdia are only 15 minutes away. Several
multifunction rooms are available to hold
conventions and meetings, and the three lounges
have fireplaces. Health facilities include a
Wellness Centre with swimming-pools, water
activities, a heated indoor pool, a jacuzzi,
gymnasium, massage centre and two tennis courts. In
addition, horse-riding excursions, cycling and
hiking within the estate itself can be arranged, as
well as other eco-friendly activities.

Within the hotel grounds in what was formerly
the dining hall of the manor, with its spacious
terraces and panoramic views, you will find the
restaurant "Es Mirador de Monnaber Nou" where our
Chef "Llorenç Abrines" presides, aided by
his staff. The finest of Majorca's produce from the
land and sea are combined to create Majorcan and
Mediterranean dishes of recognised prestige,
complemented by exquisite desserts and a carefully
selected wine cellar. With friendly and
professional service, headed by Manolo Cebrero, the
restaurant offers a relaxed atmosphere and creates
an experience which is a delight to all of the
senses.
