The splendid landscape of this area is very difficult to describe.The deep reds of the earth contrasts with the green of the pine trees creating an ever changing prospective that must be seen to be believed.The estate is surrounded by 12km of coastline.The sea is a shade of light, diaphanous blue that is almost unreal.Its cliffs are home to one of the largest colonies of herring gulls in Italy.At the very centre of the estate (450 hectares of Pines, fruit orchards, Mediterranean maquis, cultivated fields that reach the sea and wildlife) stands the beautiful 19th century Villa in all its original splendour. The villa has undergone only slight alterations in order to accommodate an hotel. |

The farm buildings surrounding the villa have been carefully converted into 40 comfortable lodgings.There are also 20 villas and chalets dispersed throughout the area, away from the centre of the village, hidden amongst the shady pine trees.A privatly owned Nineteenth villa restored to its original beauty with period furniture, is now functioning as a small hotel.The sea in the background offers a beautiful setting for the hotel, surrounded by parkland and greenery. A large terrace in front of the hotel enables guests to dine in the open.The Ripalte restaurant is housed in the ancient cellars of the Villa delle Ripalte.It is possible to dine outdoors on the wide terrace surrounded by ancient pines and enjoy the view of the majestic villa lit up in all its splendour.The restaurant offers a typically Tuscan cuisine together with international meat and fish dishes, all carefully and lovingly prepared. |

The Calanova restaurant boasts a unique position between the trees and the sea.It is possible to have lunch or supper seated under the shade of the ancient cork-oak trees. Simona's cuisine is rich and sumptuous, she excels in her fish dishes but also offers characteristic Tuscan Cuisine, all accompanied by excellent wine.The small landing stage allows for access from the sea.During the day the Calanova also offers a bar service for beach guests.This is located directly on the Remaiolo beach and offers cold drinks, ice creams and small snacks.For guests who which to have lunch there is a buffet.The kitchen is the same as that of the Ripalte restaurant.There is a bar near to the swimming pool area that is open all day offering breakfast in the morning with fresh croissants and snacks, cold drinks, aperitifs and cocktails throughout the day and evening. |

Passato il paese di Capoliveri, 9 km di strada sterrata conducono in uno degli angoli più suggestivi dell'isola d'Elba: "la Costa dei Gabbiani", un incontaminato altopiano (m. 218) al centro del quale sorge l'antica Tenuta delle Ripalte, contornata da pinete, vigneti ed alberi da frutto. Tutto intorno, 450 ettari di macchia mediterranea degradano fino al mare. Un paesaggio incantevole con scorci mozzafiato sul mare, 12 km di fascia costiera su cui si estende la proprietà, un intercalare di spiaggette, cale o baie ad uso esclusivo dei soli ospiti del residence.Gli amanti del mare e della natura si divertiranno a calpestare ogni giorno una sabbia diversa, scoprendo le spiaggette più caratteristiche del promontorio, alcune delle quali raggiungibili soltanto via mare o attraverso incantevoli sentieri: Remaiolo, l'unica spiaggia attrezzata del residence con un bar e una folta pineta, raggiungibile con bus navetta a disposizione, Punta Rossa, cosparsa di variopinti minerali, Punta delle Ripalte, dimora dei gabbiani reali, Ginepro, caratteristica per la sua sabbia scura, Calanova con il suo esclusivo ristorante in riva al mare e molte altre ancora. |

Un paradiso da scoprire al meglio in ogni suo angolo percorrendo a piedi o in bici le strade sterrate ed i molti sentieri che si snodano nella natura incontaminata, tra il profumo del rosmarino, dell'elicriso , della lavanda, della ginestra... Costa dei Gabbiani è senza dubbio un villaggio esclusivo in quanto è capace di accogliere un numero limitato di persone, lontano dal movimento e dal traffico che contraddistinguono inevitabilmente l'Isola d'Elba in certi periodi dell'anno.Esso offre inoltre una grande varietà di proposte di accoglienza: dall'antica villa padronale, trasformata in un piccolo hotel, agli appartamenti ricavati nelle fattorie, alle ville indipendenti affacciate sul mare e disseminate nelle pinete.Le fattorie e le ville prendono il nome dalle piante che le circondano e si affacciano su stradine private che conducono al mare. |
