Thermal center in preparation.The Villa Casanova was built from an old 18th-century Tuscan farm, set in the Lucchese hills between a wonderful pine grove measuring 40 hectares; the 18th-century villa has a patrician chapel and several country houses, one dating all the way back to the 1400s where the Balbani family once lived (and who gave the locality its name). Several members of the Balbani family held very important roles during the Republic of Lucca. In the old courtyard, the wellhead and oven are still present. The valley of Lucca can be admired from the railing of the garden. All the food served is produced by the farm, including fruit, vegetables, legumes, meat (livestock bred on the farm: goats, pigs, guinea hens, pheasant, chickens and rabbits), the wine and oil are our own. The area enjoys a stimulating and crisp climate and healthy air. |
