Villa Medicea Poggio Bartoli. The villa was originally a country house used by the Medici family during the hot Florentine summers. The villa has an antique well and pigeon house that date back to the times of the Medici. Subsequently, the house passed through the hands of many noble families. Each family attached their family crest to the front wall of the house, and they can still be seen today. In the 18th century the Baldocci family built an "Oratorio" or chapel dedicated to Saint Girolamo. The villa is over 1000 square metres and is on 3 floors. |

In der Mitte des 19. Jahrhunderts hatte der landwirtschaftliche Betrieb insgesamt 450 Bewohner. Zu Beginn des 20. Jahrhunderts, war das Landgut Poggio Bartoli ein Labor der neuen Kriterien der Wechselwirtschaft und der Viehzucht. Heute ist die Medici-Villa Poggio Bartoli völlig umstrukturiert. Man kann hier einen herrlichen Toskana Urlaub in einer sehr luxuriösen Villa mit Schwimmbad verbringen. |

Es ist möglich entweder die gesamte Villa (18 Personen) zu mieten oder aber einfach die Übernachtung in einem der luxuriösen Zimmer mit Frühstück zu genießen. Direkt neben der Villa befindet sich eine Kirche, deren Innenwände mit Fresken des Künstlers Beato Angelico verziert sind. Die Fresken werden zur Zeit restauriert. Alle Suiten bieten sehr viel Platz und wurden in einer angenehmen Kombination aus antiken Möbeln und modernem Komfort eingerichtet (Satelliten-TV, Stereo mit Radio und CD-Player). Jede Suite verfügt über ein traumhaftes Bad, von denen einige große Whirlpool-Badewannen haben, Duschen mit Kristalltüren sowie sehr viel Marmor-Verzierungen. |
