After the restoration work, La Torretta has reopened and will continue the family tradition begun in the 1920s and carried forward by three generations. Easy excursions and walks on foot, on mountain bikes or on horseback towards the lower valley between chestnuts and broad leaf trees in the remains of the Villa castle, its lake and natural waterfalls, while towards the mountain, among the conifers, you will come across the old Bechaz mine where they extracted gold bearing quartz, paths alongside medieval irrigation canals until you arrive at the majestic glacier at the foot of Monte Rosa. Just a few kilometres away at Brusson there are the first Nordic skiing pistes among the best in Europe where world cup competitions have been held; at Palasinaz, pistes for Alpine and Nordic skiing and a Snowpark for young and old; at Col di Joux, a terrace on the Alps with a view of Mont Blanc, alpine pistes and, rising towards Champoluc, the great slopes of Alpine skiing with more than 190 km of pistes with links to the adjacent valleys of Gressoney and Alagna, and for those who like testing themselves with Alpine skiing, numerous and fantastic opportunities. |
