You can spend hours in the big, warmly decorated sitting rooms with their equally big sofas, or wander around the beautiful grounds in a peaceful setting high above the medieval town of Conwy and the North Wales coast.  Upstairs mirrors downstairs in elegance, with luxuriously appointed suites and rooms, some with galleries and terraces, all with those extras &endash; the deluxe toiletries, complimentary sherry, etc &endash; that you'd expect to find in a hotel of this quality. Bre and Graham are not the kind of people to rest on their laurels. They are constantly improving Sychnant Pass: the latest addition, opening Easter 2005, is a large indoor heated swimming pool and leisure area complete with sauna, hot tub, gymnasium and coffee shop. Sychnant Pass is run to a winning formula &endash; it's all about fastidious standards without fussiness or, if you prefer, laid-back luxury. Don't expect formality.
